Plaid's Luke Nicholas best ever result in Cardiff South and Penarth

Commenting on the result of the Cardiff South and Penarth by-election, Plaid Cymru's Luke Nicholas, who doubled his percentage of the vote said;
"I'd like to congratulate Stephen Doughty on being elected and wish him all the very best.
"I am delighted with more than doubling the percentage of vote for Plaid and gaining our best ever result in a Westminster election here in Cardiff South and Penarth.
"It's a sign that the Party f Wales is growing in support and reaching out to gain the trust of people across Wales.
"It has been a huge priviledge to stand for Plaid in this election. Our campaign has been extremely positive - focussing on issues that matter to people across Cardiff South and Penarth.
"I'd like to give special thanks to all of the activists that have helped me speak to thousands of people during this campaign."
